I really can't recommend buying a smart door lock from Simpled. They make some pretty wild claims about how their product works with all kinds of doors. "These solutions make smart access to any door possible. Simpled Smart locks are designed with all door types in mind." Honestly, this feels like it should be illegal, and I'm thinking about reaching out to Amazon about it.

I got a Simpled smart lock thinking it would fit any door, but nope! It only works with PVC, aluminum, and those balcony doors that have lift-to-lock mortice. When I tried to put it on my solid wooden door with a safe mortice, it just wouldn’t fit. I contacted customer support for assistance, but they were slow to respond and not helpful at all.

In summary, Simpled's marketing is misleading, their product isn't as adaptable as they say, and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Do yourself a favor and find a more dependable smart door lock elsewhere. I regret giving this British brand a shot; Yale is way better.

Secondly, the battery cover on the inside slides up with hardly any effort, and I worry it might come loose if the door gets slammed. That said, it’s a minor issue and could be easily fixed with a bit of tape.

All in all, it’s still early days, but I’m really happy with my choice so far.
